species is not known but experts believe there are at least 385 different species of sharks (Springer and Gold, 1989). Sharks are a much-maligned species with people in great fear
of being attacked and eaten by a shark. In reality, Springer and Gold tell us that the risk of being attacked is not very great. There are usually fewer than
100 shark attacks each year across the world with 30 of these attacks being fatal (Springer and Gold, 1989). [Student: You might want to update this information. For example, there
