The same can be said for every employee in the organization, their purpose is to achieve a goal (Sharifzadeh). In both cases, the goals will be achieved only through group effort (Sharifzadeh). In fact, group effort is becoming even more important for each employee to achieve his/her goal because so many companies now operate with work teams. An organization is typically defined along the lines of "a formal structure of planned coordination, involving two or more people, in order to achieve a common goal" (Sharifzadeh 2004). When we study organizational behavior itself, we are exploring not just the organization as a whole unit but of the behaviors and attitudes of individuals (Sharifzadeh). There are certain behaviors that receive a great deal more attention than others, such as motivation and productivity (Sharifzadeh). These two are related directly to job satisfaction, another issue within the organizational behavior realm. Clark (2000) suggests that organizational behavior involves "the study and application of knowledge about how people, individuals, and groups act in organizations." Many different things will affect organizational behaviors (Clark). These include the managers approach to management, the philosophy of the company and of the manager, the vision, goals and values of the organization, which are typically established at the highest executive levels and transferred to each manager and employee (Clark). These and other factors, such as procedures, translate into the corporate culture, which, in turn, is comprised "of the formal organization, informal organization, and the social environment" (Clark 2000). In other words, the corporate culture encompasses the social aspect of the organization because it focuses on what people do and how they do it. It is not easy to change the organizations culture.
