is something of a soap opera where one book leads to another, presenting us with the same chacters as well as new characters. There are sagas of ongoing relationships and
relationships that have ended. There is the drama of high school, and the drama of romance and friendship, as well as parents. The following paper provides a simple report of
"On My Own" by Francine Pascal as well as a brief biography of the author. On My Own The primary character of this book seems to be Jessica.
Jessica is a character seen in other books in this series and at this time she is going after a particular boy, Evan. Her friends apparently think that she is
always going to be interested in jocks that are very simple and shallow, and good looking. She wants to show them that she is deeper than that and is going
after a more complex, or more interesting and intelligent, boy who is Evan. Even, however, is good looking and he is a jock. He is also very popular it seems
because he is a nice guy. She starts to date him and one night they end up at a football game where all her other past boyfriends are as well.
There is Will and Jeremy. At this point she becomes very confused because she does not really know who she likes anymore. There is something she remembers about each one
that she still likes. This leads Evan to realize something is not right and he gives her advice, advice to be on her own. She takes that advice and starts,
it seems, to be without a boyfriend. There is also the character of Jessicas twin sister, Elizabeth, who in the beginning of the book has just gotten back together
