gray limestone and a frieze band of carved wreaths is situated between the second and third floors. There is a panel depicting a globe, which is accompanied by a pattern
of vines and flowers underneath each of the third floor windows, and, fluted pilasters that are topped with decorative capitals from the first floor, that is ground level, to the
top of the windows on the third floor ("Mid-Continental"). Construction featured limestone and carved Corinthian columns creating a truly beautiful building. Six Corinthian columns support a classic portico with the
name of the company inscribed across the top panel of his formal entryway ("Mid-Continental"). The building is large and its formal style combines with large scale and proportion to
convey grandeur and competency, which was undoubtedly meant to inspire confidence in the organizations ability among its customers. Located on a spacious expanse at 1400 Classen in Oklahoma City, it
stands as a "monument to the prosperity and forward thinking" that characterized Oklahoma in the 1920s ("Mid-Continental"). The expanse of the building and its four-story construction suggests that its interior
space is sufficiently ample to allow for good traffic flow and efficient use of space. As it is an older building, there are no readily discernible passive features that accommodate
solar heat collection; however, the portico does offer shelter from rain and weather elements for visitors to the building. This writer/tutors personal reaction to the building is that it is
imposing, officious and formal. St. Josephs Cathedral St. Josephs Old Cathedral, located at 225 NW Fourth St., was one of the first organizations to establish itself in the boomtown
