watch their diets and eat healthfully. Obesity is in fact more problematic in nations that indulge in snacks; EU nations and North American countries are more prone to snacking
("Dont Just," 2003). At the same time, the poorest countries in Africa for example have many more underweight than overweight people in their midst (2003). Obesity has only become
a new problem for middle-income, transition countries like those found in Eastern Europe (2003). Obesity in "developing" nations such as in Asia and Latin America has become a
social problem (2003). In Brazil, for example, more people are obese than hungry ("Dont Just," 2003). While it is good that hunger is no longer as great a problem,
obesity can be very unhealthy. First, what is obesity exactly? Obesity is a condition when too much body fat presents itself ("American," 2004). It is not necessarily a sign
that a person has lost control (2004). In fact, the myth is that all obese people overeat or eat huge quantities of food, and while in some instances that
is true, it is not characteristic of obesity. While many people know when they are obese, there are many people on the borderline, or people who are obese and
do not realize it. It is not difficult to determine who is obese. Again, most people do know that they are overweight and many individuals have been told
