such a paper would be written, depending on the particular organization chosen. Well assume, for purposes of this particular paper, that this organization manufactures widgets (an all-purpose product typically used
in marketing examples. The next step is to define the organization. To do this, well discuss some definitions and organizational models.
In their most basic forms, organizations are little more than people management systems, ranging from traditional hierarchies to complex networks that work through
computer systems and telecommunications (Price). Others define organizations as a group of people brought together for a specific purpose, whether that purpose be to help a needy group (such as
in a corporate charity or non-profit organization) or to obtain a profit based on a product or service that the market definitely wants.
Organizational structures, as a whole, are typically defined as functional, divisional, matrix, federations and networks (Price). Functional organizations are simple, with simple and clear lines of command, and specified
