was called into her boss office for her annual performance feedback, shed felt pretty good about her first year on the job. Certainly, there had been some ups and downs,
but given the feedback shed received from customers and peers, and some of the innovations shed introduced to her job and what she was producing, she was positive that her
boss would see things in the same light. Despite the fact her boss had not really been forthcoming with his input or help, because he was so busy with other
things, she felt confident about her own abilities and how they would come across. With a smile on her face and anticipation strong, she sat down in front of her
boss desk and prepared to listen. But her positive attitude soon turned to horror as the boss went down the litany of
everything that had gone wrong her first year -- the mistakes she had made on projects, the people she had upset with some of her innovations and suggestions and the
fact there had been some negative feedback from the customers. The boss, himself, brought up a huge mistake shed made within a month of her start date, claiming that it
had wasted his time to correct it. The manager, upon hearing all of this negative feedback, went through a variety of emotions
