individual reacts emotionally to an issue, and this, in many ways, goes into many factors, including an individuals upbringing, race, career and so on. In this paper, however, well try
to provide a generic view on how people formulate opinions and come to conclusions. The first question involved a specific fax with
some questions about opinions on certain issues. Well take a couple of these questions and examine whether the student would have a strong opinion about it (and perhaps why this
would be). Then, using the steps of forming a sound opinion, wed answer the question as to whether the opinion would be changed. The first question deals with advertisements of
running shows, and what spokesperson would likely be more successful at persuading the public to by these shoes - an experienced trainer, an Olympic running champion, a podiatrist, a physician
or the surgeon general of the U.S. In citing an opinion on the above, we can probably eliminate some definite contenders. First,
the surgeon general of the United States would likely not be very persuasive - his or her job is basically a broad one and doesnt focus specifically on feet. While
the surgeon general is mostly respected, when it comes to running shoes, his or her knowledge probably wouldnt be very persuasive. By the same token, a physician in general practice
would also not make a good testimonial (unless the physician in question is also an avid runner). Again, this person handles general health issues, not issues pertaining to feet specifically.
This then leaves us with the experienced trainer, an Olympic running champion and a podiatrist, any of whom would be very persuasive
