are and whether or not those philosophies and techniques proposed in the college classroom are practical and applicable in their own situations. The term educated means something different to each
person and as such most people approach education and the process of education in unique ways. One of the ways a person might define the educated person is one
who has gained and amassed a great deal of academic knowledge(Denby). Therefore, an educated person would be the person who has obtained a significant amount of education, such as a
college education and a degree in some field of endeavor. This would, of course, mean that there would be varying degrees of the educated person. For example, someone possessing
a post-doc would be a more educated person than someone with their bachelors degree, and someone possessing a college degree would be a more educated person than someone possessing only
their high school diploma. However, this does not adequately cover the entire scope of what it means to be an educated person, it has to be thought. If one
merely went on the academic criteria alone, then the other facets would be negated. The other facts being that of the emotional and spiritual education of a person. A well
educated person is not only someone who is academically inclined or successful, then. An educated person, is more than the sum total of his IQ(Drucker). An educated person must be
