delete spam, or is used to crunch numbers. In this paper, well examine three office automation and group collaboration software packages that a business might use, and well discuss some
comparisons and what theyre used for. Going through the offerings for "office automated software" came up with hundreds, many dealing with e-mail
and Internet communications. One that would be helpful to any organization, we found, was Coe-Truman Technologies OASIS, which helps a company develop presentations, and provides fresh research and analysis to
bring to the meeting (Computerworld (2), 2008). The OASIS is a tool thats useful not only to help the user find statistics and churn them into a report and/or meeting
presentation, but also places programming, meeting logistics, evaluations, continuing education credits (where applicable) and outcomes measurement onto one platform (Computerworld (2), 2008). In other words, OASIS is a process, taking
the information from the start, organizing it and helping to produce better meeting content (Computerworld (2), 2008). Its a meeting management planning software, but is useful for a corporation that
relies on regular meetings, by providing program-building functions, sending e-mails, when necessary, to participants, and archiving meeting materials (Computerworld (2), 2008). This is a specialty software that is geared mainly
toward events planning and meetings management, but also includes overall valuable tools including Web, video and audio conferencing, group calendars, appointment management and Web application acceleration (Computerworld (2), 2008).
