these include obsessive disorders, which most people might know as obsessive-compulsive disorders or OCPD for obsessive-compulsive personality disorders. Much a society views these people as a little freaky, as
the tend to wash their hands over and over again for no good reason. Interestingly enough however, there are times when impulsive
disorders are linked with obsessive disorders by dint of the fact that those who have such disorders seem to have no control over them. The truth of the matter
however is that there are vast differences between obsessive and impulsive disorders, and we will attempt to address these in this paper.
In order to ascertain the difference between these two types of disorders, we will take a close look at OCPD and Impulse Control Disorder, also known as ICD. We
will ascertain that while these two disorders might be very similar on the surface, they are actually different because the drivers that motivate the people to perform their activities are
different. It will also examine trichotillomania -- hair pulling -- to determine if that is an obsessive or impulsive disorder. At
the end of this paper, we hope to have a better in stronger understanding of the differences between obsessive and compulsive disorders, and we also want to have the understanding
