and in an instructional opportunity working with a variety of nursing professionals. This kind of professional networking is beneficial because it not only allows me to establish myself as
a nurse leader and educator, but also gave me the chance to identify specific gaps in my own knowledge in relation to instructional modalities and methods for improving knowledge in
adult learner populations through mentor support. Developing professional relationships in the nursing profession, whether they are relationships between different types of nursing professionals, between nurses and physicians or between
nurses and mentors, promote a kind of collaborative view that enhances opportunities for learning (Wall, 2009). Nursing professionals must recognize that developing a team approach and consensus in relationships
can be essential to promoting health care services and in health care distribution systems (Wall, 2009). The progression of relationships is a function aspect of the nursing environment and
should reflect the willingness of participants to take on a range of roles that can enhance the opportunities for learning in this environment. Professional networking has helped me
