Mastrian, 2009). The nursing student researching this topic may wish to express how learning about NI has changed the students perspective by writing something similar to the following example. Learning
about NI has changed my perspective on this subject because this has enabled me to understand the way in which NI has become integral to contemporary nursing. At a basic
level, initial NI competency encompasses basic computer literacy skills, such as accessing and using database information, as well as using a word processing or spreadsheet program, while more advanced NI

tremendous transformation that is taking place within the US healthcare system, as health provision shifts from being based on "disconnected, inefficient, paper-based islands of care delivery" to an interconnected, comprehensive
