Smoking indoors in public places forces nonsmokers to inhale the putrid stench - and harmful chemicals - emitted by smokers incessant puffing. Without a thought for those in the vicinity who have no other choice but to breathe in the secondhand smoke that permeates well beyond the smokers personal space, individuals who choose to partake of the nasty habit fail to respect the air space of those who do not, as well as to respond to scientific data illustrating the detriment to other peoples health. Therefore, the only way in which this aspect of common decency can exist is for legislation to step in and mandate a no smoking policy for all indoor establishments, the proposed time schedule for which would be ninety days for all public businesses to comply. II. PROBLEM Anyone - child, adult or senior - who has ever been forced to eat, drink, enjoy an entertainment event or merely stroll through a store alongside the uninvited company of secondhand smoke has been refused the right to breathe smoke-free air. For decades, the notion of secondhand smoke has existed but has not instigated any cause for concern toward those nonsmokers who must inhale the expelled pollutants of smokers.
