(Lee, 1998; PG). Inside the clinic, one doctor and two assistants accompany the driver along with a mobile laboratory complete with the latest medical devices that technology has to
offer. Outside the clinic, the desert is still except for the soundless motions of the snakes and the scorpions that inhabit it and the ceaseless stir of dust kicked
up by the rear wheels of the clinic. In the distance, the waters of the Nile River timelessly flow, twisting through four thousand miles of ancient landscape and bringing
wetness and life to the nation of Egypt under the watchful eyes of the Sphinx and her garden of pyramids. Rounding a small mountain south of Cairo, the clinic rolls
into Mokata, one of the poorer of Egypts regions and a regular stop for the driver and medical team. As the vehicles reaches a populated area, an attached loudspeaker
announces both its arrival and the services that it offers. It is met by a group of women anxious to receive the free counseling, testing and contraceptives it brings,
