their own morality based on intrinsic knowledge. They have come to terms with many things, and have for themselves carved out a niche where they can live a comfortable life
and are happy with their decisions. They may compromise between a mainstream religion and what they believe is best for them. They use experiential knowledge, as well as psychological mechanisms,
to come to their conclusions. In essence, they have come to a personal morality. However, morality is a complex subject in terms of philosophy. It is anything but concise and
neat. For Nietzsche, morality is not easily explained. In his Thus Spoke Zarathustra, the author explores struggles that occur in individuals and their situations.
The book is a hodge podge of wisdom that is sort of thrown together in a random fashion. Finally the part on Redemption is quite telling. In this part, it
is the last man who tries to liberate himself to become the overman. According to Nietzsche, some problems, conflicts and threats that seem to be in the way of
the last mans ability to create beyond himself or herself concerns the icons understanding of the soul and the will. In order to understand the last mans comprehension of these
notions, and why the last man is not able to create beyond himself, one has to delve into the Zarathustra. Purportedly, and contrary to the original position, it is
shown that the last man can go beyond himself. In reading this work, one can see that Nietzsche delves into issues that do not fundamentally address the issue at
hand. In some way he dances around the topic of morality. Kierkegaard on the other hand, in Fear and Trembling does not escape the issue at hand, which is that
