today, it is again commencing in earnest with new airport major projects and expansion plans of existing airports in the works from North America to Australia and everywhere in between.
The world truly has become a smaller place, and with most international economies embracing capitalism, time is money, so air travel is naturally the preferred global mode of transportation.
Chicagos OHare Airport is the largest airport in the United States, and was operating at peak capacity and beyond by the new millennium (Reutter, 2000). Because of the predicted
problems, discussions about opening a third major airport in the region began as early as 1984 (Slania, 2004). In 1992, then Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar earmarked more than 4,000
