2007-2008 statistics, the average player earned $5 million annually, and the owner revenues from ticket sales and marketing were higher than any other professional sporting event. Ticket prices to
see a National Basketball Association (NBA) are the highest of all pro sports prices, despite the fact that rosters are comparatively smaller than those of other team sports and their
games are relatively inexpensive events to play (Staudohar 3). Until 1998, when the infamous NBA "lockout" occurred, the NBA had impressively accomplished what no other professional team organization (Major
