storytelling are the stuff of free time when one is having fun or relaxing. Often, people read books or tell stories when they have excess free time, but whatever the
reason for the attachment to a narrative, it is something that is a familiar way to tell a tale. A student makes the following statement: "Narration is the art
of storytelling." Indeed, this does seem to be true. Anne Fadiman concurs and says: " I think of narrative as storytelling: that is, as a way of ordering events and
thoughts in a coherent sequence that makes them interesting to listen to" ("What is a narrative anyway"). At the same time, Lamarque speaks of narration as something that is thought
of as being related to storytelling, but narration can also be used for non-fiction endeavors (Nash 131). This is true as well. That said, storytelling relies on good narration which
is seemingly the students point. Of course, narration is an art. It is something that provokes the emotions too. Mateas and Sengers examine the importance of the narrative in
human experience. It is true that since the beginning of time, cave men would create stories with antiquated drawings. One author adds: " Since the very beginning of human civilization,
Story Telling has been an integral part of it" ("Narration: First person vs. Third Person"). These ancient men would relay and record their own adventures through the telling of stories
in one way or another. Of course, the use of the narrative, and storytelling, are almost intertwined. At one web site, the following information appears: " Storytelling is one of
