a system that has a built in self checking system, in order to try and prevent faults occurring and developing into errors. Single versions have only a single execution and
rely on fault detention and rectification for their reliably. Multi-version software has many advantages, evidence appears to suggest is it more reliable, especially where there is divergent software such
as in a distributed network environment. Issues such as cost are seen as disadvantages may be over stated. However, the problem of the system being unable to reach a consensus
and make a decision is a serous problem and needs consideration in the design process. Overall, in most cases multi-version software may be seen as of greater benefit to networks.
