The choice to have an abortion or not, should be a personal choice based on the individual circumstance, individual conscience and personal beliefs. The individual needs to make
this choice as a result of careful investigation of the possible options and alternatives. OPTIONS AND ALTERNATIVES TO ABORTION The year
2005 marks the 32nd. anniversary of the controversial Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade. Over the last thirty-two years, the most popular attitude concerning abortion is that women must
be able to make their own decision based on their personal conscience and faith (Haffner). Each year marks another anniversary and triggers
yet another round of debates concerning a womans right to an abortion. If a person listens to all of this discussion, it would be easy to feel that the
right to choose an abortion is primarily a religious and moral decision. There is much more to making this personal decision than just considering what is printed by the
media or broadcast through the television. Whether or not to have an abortion is a very personal issue. Each and every situation and/or circumstance has different factors which
should be considered before deciding or not deciding on having an abortion. For this particular discussion, let us consider a situation in which
a young women, age 16, has been forcibly raped and has become pregnant as a result of that rape. To set the stage even further, let us consider that
