play called A Man For All Seasons reflects on Mores dilemma. More was put to death and the night before his execution, he wrote a letter to his family. He
said: "I never liked your manner towards me better than when you kissed me last; for I love when daughterly love and dear charity hath no leisure to look to
worldly courtesy" (More). He also wrote: "Our Lord bless him and his good wife, my loving daughter, to whom I pray him to be good, as he hath great cause;
and that, if the land of mine come to his hands, he break not my will concerning his sister Daunce" (More). Mores love of his daughter clearly comes through and
one has to feel for him. A student claims that A Man For All Seasons "can still speak to the plight of the individual in the modern age." Indeed, the
work can to some extent exemplify the man against the machine theme. While More was faced with a difficult decision at the time, today people are faced with decisions
and can decide to be honest or face dire consequences. Journalists today sometimes will not reveal sources, even if it means that they have to spend time in jail. A
