of course come with a certain perspective. The relevance of Galloways work should not be understated as he writes to tell the people the truth, but also to help the
families of the victims of Vietnams wrath. In an interview done after bodies were identified from that battle more than forty years later, Galloway said: "They were especially troubled by
the loss and the mystery of what happened, and concerned by the families waiting for some kind of resolution for over four decades" (qtd. in Meo, 2009, p.22). Indeed, what
happened during the days of the battle were rather confused as there were men missing. The people wanted to know what really happened there. Galloway wrote the book many years
before some of the bodies would be identified. The subject of the book is clearly the battle of focus. One might go beyond that and contend that the subject is
about the fact that war is hell, or about a young reporter who wanted to do the right thing. Galloway found himself on a mission after being in the midst
of one of Vietnams most notorious battles. It was there that there was a 44% casualty rate as the troops were outnumbered seven to one (Newman, 2008). During two days,
79 soldiers were killed and 121 were wounded (Newman, 2008). Galloway was about to leave and tell the story when he met Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore, and Moore said the
