has absorbed and reporting back to the parents what their child needs to learn in order to succeed later in life. While I can give as much knowledge as I
can during the school day, the parents also have to assist me in order for their child to succeed. By the time a child comes to my classroom at
the age of 5, they should have a strong foundation for language. They should also have basic muscle skills and have strong coordination. During our school year, I will work
to teach my students knowledge of the senses (if they do not already have them), find out how they view the adult world based off of what their parents say,
and teach them how to cut paper, draw, and perhaps letters if they are ready for them. Montessori discovered that children work best in a safe and hands-on environment
(NNDB, 2010). The classroom for young people has to live in miniature (Langley, 2009). In order to get my classroom ready, I will make sure everything is at their height,
there is a distinct difference between the left and the right sides of the room, and ease the children from the simple to the more difficult lessons. On the first
day, I will bring parents in to make sure they have an understanding of how my classroom will function and why I have chosen this method. One thing
