the American company Monsanto sues an Indian firm for patent infringement ("Case 9-3 Monsato," 1986). This suit had been decreed as it respects the trial court but it was in
fact dismissed on appeal ("Supreme Court Judgments on Patent Cases," 2005). The suit began with two patents in controversy, but the case ended with only one patent on the table
("Case 9-3 Monsato," 1986). The facts of the case include the notion that for years, there had been research conducted for a chemical that would have the ability to kill
weeds while leaving other vegetation intact ("Case 9-3 Monsato," 1986). The fight in this legal matter concerns a patent. It is stated: "According to the plaintiffs, the legends on the
tins containing substances manufactured by the defendant showed that what was sold by the defendant was nothing but a reproduction of the first plaintiffs patented formulation" ("Case 9-3 Monsato," 1986).
Much of the disagreement seems to be over the chemical, and patent, for Butachlor ("Case 9-3 Monsato," 1986). Is this something patented or something that is to be used by
