city we may find that there are far more similarities than previously imagined. The following paper examines the condition and existence of ancient Athens as it relates to modern day
New York City. New York City and Athens New York City today is filled with an incredibly large population of people. It is, however, not incredibly safe in
many places, and not incredibly clean. There are sanitation issues in the city, and there are many districts that are unsafe, or incredibly immersed in poverty. One can see homeless
people on the streets, begging for food, homeless shelters and many other conditions that are perhaps specific to our time and place. New York City is also a place
of incredible business and a place of numerous activities. People can go to theaters, attend sporting events, and do almost anything one could imagine. There are numerous types of schools
which teach subjects from art to music to history. There are incredibly rich people and incredibly poor people. It is a city of immense diversity, both good and bad.
Most of us recognize that New York City serves as a symbol of all that is possible in the world today. It is also a city that represents some of
the harshest realities in the world too with poverty, crimes, drugs, and many other realities. One can, in all honesty, imagine almost anything when thinking of New York City. With
