is one that prefers clean lines to the busy nature of the usual building models for example. Minimalist architecture is something that become most apparent during the 1960s. It was
a time when things were changing. The culture was one that wanted the bare truth, and in minimalism, there was a sense that letting go of excess was tantamount to
honesty and beauty. However, because the style of consideration is minimalist, it is in some way difficult to discuss its exact nature because in this instance, the clich? less is
more is the truth. Linder (2005) writes about architecture and in fact claims that the minimalist movement of the sixties laid the groundwork for what was to come. It
was a short lived movement, but its influence continues. Architects who embrace a modern approach will use classical architecture along with rectangular geometry while not incorporating things such as subsymmetries
and subdivisions (Salingaros, 2001). Modern architects have used explicit and stylistic dictates with no fractal properties (Salingaros, 2001). This is quite different from traditional architecture. The more traditional types
which includes classical as one example would be fractal and such inclusions would be found on buildings form a variety of periods and styles as well (Salingaros, 2001). It is
important to note that what divides the two types is the fact that whether or not there is use of fractal properties (Salingaros, 2001). Modern design does not contain fractal
properties (Salingaros, 2001). Critics are not very kind to minimalist artists and architects. Architects in later times would react against minimalism and reintroduce things such as subdivisions and curves
