that is the idea of one particular film which is based on chaos theory, a concept that suggests everything is interrelated. The example that the flap of a butterflys wings
on one side of the world will inadvertently cause a tsunami on the other is often cited as an example. But that is not how most scientists think of time
travel when they seriously address the subject and in fact, Michael Crichtons Timeline relies on scientific thought. In Timeline, four travelers go back in time and one stays in
the past. This fact has a great deal of implications in terms of the traveling process. If time travel could be effected, can people change events or not? Crichton uses
quantum physics and seemingly plausible explanations for how the people can go through time rather effortlessly. Yet, there are questions about whether or not this method is really sound. After
all, if it were, people would definitely be taking time trips today. Also, the rules of time travel are debatable too and at the forefront is how one can change
something that already exists. What is most remarkable is that, in the book, one of the four time travelers chooses to stay in the past, feeling that early France
is his destiny. This time travelers name is Andr? Marek. II. Mareks Method of Coping The character Andr? Marek had to cope with always knowing he came from
somewhere else. Of course, there is little in the novel itself to show what happened to him exactly after he made that decision. Much analysis will therefore have to be
