changes that took place as a direct result of the Industrial Revolution was the shift from an artisan-based system of production to one that was grounded in an industrial system.
It can readily be argued that the forces which served to motivate the growth of industrialism were rumbling for quite a while just under the surface of craftsmen who
believed their trade work should not be handed out to untrained and unqualified workers. This inevitable shift to industrialism meant positive advancement for journeymen and master craftsmen, in that
they were finally supported by a protective entity that came in the form of a labor union. The response that workers and reformers demonstrated to this change was, indeed,
extreme to some extent; however, it could have been no other way inasmuch as they were up against an increasingly industrialized society of large corporations, as well as the overwhelming
growth of mass production. Many other important changes took place in Mexicos society with regard to individual political, economical and social concerns; some were positive while others were for the
worse. Indeed, one of the most critical aspects of this particular era was the fact that political reforms were designed as a means by which to place more power
into hands of the common man; however, these designs were not without counter movements that attempted to impede such progress. Religion, too, played an integral role in the overall
