are different approaches that can be used. In order to decide which may be best suited to the research the different models can be briefly considered, including their advantages and
disadvantages. The first is the inductive consensual approach; this is a process where the researcher identifies a problem and the research and then a solution can be formulated from
the data or observations. This can be a useful approach as it is a system of research inquiry that allows conclusion to be derived from only a limited number of
observations, for example, this can be used where there is only historic data available, or data from a range of independent observations. The observations may also be analogous, such as
comparison so similar research situations. This is also beneficial for non complex research subjects. This may be argued as an optimistic approach to research, and it is easy to
apply, and each observation may be assessed by the researcher to assess their validity (Greene, 2007). However, there are some disadvantages associated with this approach; it is one that is
particularly susceptible to researcher bias due to the importance of perception (deMarrais and Lapan, 2003). There is also the danger that the researcher may choose only certain observations, it is
also an approach where there may be other factors that are important or influential on the research topic, but due to the research methodology there is a potential for unidentified
factors to remain unidentified (deMarrais and Lapan, 2003). The second mode of inquiry is that of analytic deductive. This is a more scientific and logical approach, where the world
is deemed to be a formula and the research is seen as a search for a logical consistency. In this approach there is usually believed to be a single answer
