to make his case more favorable for his client (the counselors friend). A therapists objectivity is one of the most valuable components of
her competence; if that one element is removed from the equation, there is no basis upon which the counselors guidance has validity. Bias is a particularly dangerous issue within
the field of psychology, inasmuch as favoritism can lead to objectionable and even harmful results (Herlihy et al, 2006). The therapist must hold her ground and refuse to assess
her friend no matter how much pressure she receives from the attorney. II. SESSION CANCELLATION A client can expect a high level of professionalism when engaging in therapeutic counseling,
which includes the therapists ability to remain on schedule and honor all appointments. In the event that something of a personal nature occurs in the counselors life and an
