eBay right when the bloom was off the rose and worked magic, getting online customers to go to one place for their online shopping needs. She managed it through hard-line
transactional leadership methods combined with an authentic and transformational personal style, garnering eBay employee respect and their interactive support in turning eBay into the most trusted destination for general purpose
shopping. Leadership Styles Thyer (2003) declares transactional leadership a dead leadership style that leads to
high employee turnover and job dissatisfaction. This is the effect of the transactional leadership style, and why companies have augmented their basic business needs with other leadership models. One example
of a leader who leads by example is Meg Whitman. Through Whitmans management she was able to inspire eBay employees to come
