My parents describe times when I was a child and role-played being a doctor. My mother reflected with great pride on the accuracy of my statements, my desire to
make diagnoses and even my demeanor, which indicated a desire to show professionalism, even at age 6. My hope of becoming
a physician necessitates my application to medical school and I have pursued information about a variety of different schools in order to determine what would best meet my needs as
a student. I have assessed three essential criteria in my selection process, the presence of a valued reputation, the integration of a highly competitive curriculum, and the use of
valued professionals as a part of the instructional process. All of these elements are in place at Weill Cornell Medical College. My
choice to apply to Weill Cornell Medical College comes as a natural extension of my educational development and is in direct alignment with my personal and professional goals. My
specific choice of schools reflects my awareness of Weill Cornells reputation, the effectiveness of the curriculum and the recommendations of educators and medical professionals. My choice was not a
simple one and reflects a solid process of evaluating educational programs, identifying important aspects of each program and then selecting the schools that were best suited to my needs.
