can be attributed with creating the fast food industry in its modern day form. The company began with a salesman; Ray Kroc, he had heard of a California hamburger
stand that was using eight of the milkshake machines (Multimixers) that he was selling at the time. Ray Kroc went to see this hamburger stand and was amazed at how
quickly all the customers were being served (Kroc, 1992). This gave him an idea. With this idea he went to the brothers that owned the stores and sold them on
the idea of opening several more restaurants, to each he could sell an additional eight Multimixers. Kroc went on the form McDonalds, with the first restaurant opening in 1955 in
Des Plaines (Kroc, 1992). The basic concept is to serve a range of food that can be prepared before it is ordered so
that customers can come into a restaurant order the food and go within a matter of minutes. The menu focuses of burgers fries and drinks, but has been expanded to
include chicken and breakfasts, and more recently amid claims of an unhealthy menu salads and other healthy options have been included. The restaurant operates with counter service as well as
