the reverence toward their higher being, as well as their basic concept of lifes political journey, speak to the "humble attentiveness to the universe" (Mosio 27). As is characteristic to
Native American ideology, the concepts of worthiness, sacrifice and penance all play an integral role in the manner by which the community addresses its political concerns. The very basis
