when he and some of his friends decided that it would be a great joke to plant smoke bombs and firecrackers all around South Beach one Halloween night. They
knew that fireworks were dangerous, but they didnt really think about much else except that it would be a kick to hear them go off and see the smoke.
They just thought it would be exciting. Matt and his friends were very careful about hiding all the fireworks, being very clever and secretive. They knew they wouldnt have
time to get all the stuff hidden after dark so they did it earlier in the day. But they hadnt figured on the problems theyd have lighting them.
They had to go all around South Beach and they were seen by several people. Still, they managed to get everything lit pretty much at the same time, and
waited. The results were amazing! There were crashes and bangs all over, and the entire neighborhood filled with smoke. Matt and his friends were laughing to see how
excited everyone got. But then it didnt seem so funny, because there was a lot of smoke and people began to get scared. Someone even called the Fire
Department and someone else called the police. When the residents found out that there was no fire, just a lot of smoke bombs, they began to get really angry.
There were children crying and very upset now, and their parents were mad that anyone would be so thoughtless as to scare the children so badly. Matt and
