Alasdair MacIntyre along with other such well known philosophers such as Engels, and even Plato he considered a broad basis of subject in his thoughts and deliberations. .After reading his
books he may appear more of a political philosopher despite the religious topic of some of his books.center around. However it can also be argued that finding a non-political philosopher
is akin to the proverbially search for the needle in the haystack, one may exist, finding them within all the straw is very unlikely and improbable. And due to the
nature of the subject it should also be questioned would one really wish to find a philosopher that does not argue politics, unlike the needle it will not have a
sharp point, instead probably making for bland and unsurprising reading. After all, as Aristotle pointed out on many occasions man is a political creature, what separates him from the creatures
is the way in which he lives in a polity. Just as politics is at the basis of philosophy so is religion, it is a basic human characteristic to wish
to find a reason for existence, to believe we were created by a greater force is almost a compulsion that has existed ever since man first walked the plant. Any
philosopher considering religion must approach the subject open minded and willing to develop ideas and attract much criticism, for there are two subjects which will raise passion the hearts of
followers and enflame the minds of the opposition, and they are religion and politics, with wars resulting from both. Of the two religions must surely be the cause of the
