We judge by what a person looks like, what they wear, what they drive, and how they look overall. This is what we envision when we think that "image is
everything." Winans takes that approach and turns it around, somewhat, presenting the reader with a different and more important "impression." The following paper provides a general review of Winans work.
Image is Everything We are all familiar with the notion that image is everything. We are constantly bombarded with such images on television and other forms of
media that tell us we need to look good if not better. We need to own the best of everything, keep our houses and everything we own looking good, and
essentially rely only on those things as indicators of our success. It is an idea that does not discuss the image of who we are, but what we present to
the world. It also suggests that outward beauty and looks are more important than anything, and are, in fact, everything. This particular way of thinking is often looked down
upon, though most people have a tendency to believe it. Those who look down upon it believe that what is inside a person is what counts, and that image is
not everything. Winans clearly supports this notion as well. However, at the same time Winans uncovers, in his work, how he began to see that image is everything when
