the African Americans as well as other minorities in the nation. He set them free in many ways, forcing the nation to sit up and notice that they were incredibly
oppressed and yet were equal citizens. His work, though cut short through his assassination, was very important in making changes for the African American people. But, at the same time
his work also helped many white people in many ways. The following paper examines how he helped the white people of the nation. Martin Luther King Jr.: Helping
the White as Well as the Black King was a man who was not prejudiced. He was not a man who did not
equally care for the white people of the nation despite the fact that his focus was on the needs of the impoverished, the minorities and primarily the African Americans. He
was not an angry bitter racist man and was very much a man immersed in non-violence as an approach to changing society and its policies. This, in and of itself,
is something that influenced and helped all people in the nation, white, black, brown or any color. This sort of energy made many people who were otherwise ignorant sit up
and take notice of the horrible injustices around them. Making a society take note of their oppressive nature and the injustices around them
is something that greatly helped many whites look within themselves and see their own anger and resentment. This is not to say that the nation became a wonderful place and
all whites embraced blacks, or that blacks embraced whites, but more people became aware of the reality of the injustice done through prejudice and racism.
