1. Introduction In 1862 one of the oldest hotels that currently trade at 39 Stanley Street, Rockhampton, Queensland was established. The Great Western passed trough several sets
of hands the hotel was bought in 2003 by Lee Kernaghan, the well known country singer and David Welsh. The hotel is now a tourist attraction, based on Australian culture
and with country evenings there is an increasing level of clientele. One of the main competitive advantages is that of the indoor rodeo. In addition to the indoor rodeo there
are five bars and a gift shop. The indoor rodeo has a great deal of potential, currently it is being used once a month for the "The Toyota Extreme
Superbull Bullriding Series", the level of attendance it at roughly two thirds of the full capacity of 3,000 and currently the only income this creates is with the food and
drink sales from the attendees as the $2.50 share from each ticket sale of $15 covers only the cost of hosting the event. It is apparent that with the
