with nine family room and three double rooms which offers bed and breakfast. The hotel has a good position in a seaside town facing the sea, with 5 rooms having
a sea view. The hotel is on a corner and surrounded by other hotels, mostly of the bed and breakfast variety. The hotel is also well positioned as it
is within a 3 three minute walk of the main promenade with the shops and within seven minutes of the pier and the associated entertainment complex. The hotel has
been operating for many years and has been constantly redecorated to remain smart, but in recent years the market has been changing and many of the regular visitors have seen
their families grow up and have moved hotel. There are also an increasing number of chain brand hotels and former customers are also faced with a wide variety of choices
as the cost of a foreign hotel is proportionately less than in the past. The revenues have been falling and the only marketing the hotel has been undertaking is
a vacancy sign in the window and the usual listings in the tourists brouchers along with all the other hotels in the area. The listing s a small picture and
then contact details, with a prices from tagline. The hotel needs to increase review by increasing the level of guests they have in both the summer and the winter months.
To develop a marketing plan we first need to identify the target market (Hooley et al, 2003), then develop a marketing strategy before developing the step by step plan and
the budgets. This short report is not long enough to put all details in, which will be in the more lengthy report to be projected at a later date.
