Sun Disk is a new product of a startup company. A leisure item affordable for virtually anyone who would like to own and use it, the Sun Disk provides
a platform for a lawn chair which provides a solid base for the chair but also provides a remote control so that the chairs occupant can adjust the chairs orientation
without the need to rise from the chair. The Sun Disk is a fun product that can be enjoyed by those who enjoy
spending time outdoors. There are no direct competitors at present, although Sun Disks producers can expect substitute products to arise after the Sun Disk achieves wider distribution.
The marketing plan for the Sun Disk is to produce the product domestically, and to sell it initially in the area in which the producer
is located. Following this introduction the product will be promoted to a much wider audience, in a controlled manner that allows production to keep pace with peak demand. Current
Situation Cautions against too much direct exposure to the sun led to a boom in tanning salons several years ago, and the tanning
salon business remains quite healthy. Exposure cautions eventually extended to tanning beds as well, with the added caveat that natural sunshine likely was more cooperative in mitigating exposure risks.
The sunscreen and sunblock products available today quite effectively protect skin from the known harms of sun exposure; the end result is that we can safely return to the
"old days" of sunbathing. As work and economic pressures increase for many, relaxation that requires no club membership or package plans becomes increasingly attractive.
