WomensHealth will conduct individual patient education sessions with women, and will hold classes for small groups. * Weight management * Diabetes * Nutrition * Reproductive health * Stress effects * Osteoporosis * Cardiovascular health * Breast and ovarian cancer Cost and lack of insurance are two reasons women commonly give for not keeping up with their health screenings as they should, but even women with insurance and for whom cost is not an issue commonly fail to stay current with PAP tests, mammograms, bone density screenings and other easy and inexpensive assessment tools. Currently obesity and diabetes officially have reached epidemic status. The implications for the course of the long term health of the American people are sobering as Type II diabetes - formerly found only in adults - increasingly is found in children as young as ten years. Creating a means for women to access health care and health information in a more convenient and affordable manner affects children as well, for it is their mothers who learn how to better care for their children as they learn how to better take care of themselves.
