Our society has changed radically over recent history. One of the reflections of this change is an evolution in the way that we regard
certain drugs. We have a growing dependence on everything from amphetamines, to pain killers, to sedatives. Most in our society, however, are quick to distinguish between legally prescribed
drugs and drugs obtained on the street. In many cases, interestingly, these drugs are exactly the same. A 10 mg Lortab is a 10 mg Lortab regardless of
where you obtain it. The difference, of course, is that one has been prescribed by a medical professional and one has not. While we must recognize the fact
that some of these drugs may have been tampered with to make them something other than what comes off the pharmacists bench, the majority of street drugs are simply drugs
that have entered the black market through one means or another. Chemically the legal drugs and the illegal drugs are the same. Even Marijuana (Cannabis sativa), under certain
stipulations and restrictions, is now available in legal forms. Many, in fact, have argued that marijuana should be legalized across the board. Not surprisingly, this argument is surrounded
