high end fashion chains. The company has taken a great deal of time and effort in the way talent is recruited and the way that technology is used to produce
the outputs. In the past the company has positioned itself supply chain presence the initial use of wholly owned subsidiaries, this has been seen with the expansion as seen with
Mantero Orient Shanghai Ltd, Mantero bv which in turn owns 100% of the US and the French operations, Mantero Seta Spa and Mantero Investimenti all of which are owned 100%
by Mantero Finanziaria SPA. The setting up of a supply network needs to be able to create value for a company and make the most of synergy as well
as local resources. This is part f the reason behind the development of a structure of holding companies and then wholly owned subsidiaries, the ability to control the supply chain
is more likely to give rise to a value chain, as defined by Michael Porter (Mintzberg et al, 2003). The Indian market is very different from many other markets,
the systems of commercial infrastructure are different and as such the management will require local knowledge, As such the use of a the wholly owned subsidiary will still be attractive,
but it is important that there is local knowledge and experience input in the subsidiary set up. The supply chain may also be seen as up stream and down
