turn, means the sin committed by Adam (Harent, 1911). The term Original Sin also means the consequence of that first sin, "the stain with which we are born on account
of our origin or descent from Adam" (Harent, 1911). The consequences of Original Sin, i.e., the stain upon all humanity was confirmed and affirmed at the Council of Trent: "Adams
sin has passed to all his descendants, that is, to all men and women as descendants of our first parents, and their heirs" (The Vatican, 1986). Adam did not only
forfeit Gods friendship for himself, he forfeited it for all of humanity forever. St. Paul wrote: "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,
and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned" (Romans 5:12). This is the most frequently cited verse to explain what happened when Adam disobeyed God. However,
Paul repeats this message later in this letter: " Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men ....For just as through the disobedience of the
one man the many were made sinners" (Romans 5:18, 19). The sin with which all mankind is born relates to "the privation of sanctifying grace in a nature which
has been diverted from its supernatural end through the fault of the first parents" (The Vatican, 1986). This means that man is born without the sanctifying grace with which Adam
was born (The Vatican, 1986). Instead, man is born inheriting the sin of the first man (The Vatican, 1986). God said to Adam and Eve: And I will put
