tool to enhance and promote motivation. There are many companies we can consider, but if we look a the well known company Coca-Cola we see that they are taking a
very advanced approach to employee performance management which has been introduced as a part of the total rewards human resource management programme of the company,
To place this into the broad context of performance assessment we need to look at why and how this can take place and then apply this to Coca-Cola.
In defining what is meant by performance assessment we can look at general definitions. A good definition states; "Assessment tools help generate reliable feedback, identify the critical behaviours for success,
and provide direction for customized development planning" (Morical, 1999; 43). In applying to his to a practical scenario we can see how it can as true when considering a machine
that manufactures widgets automatically or looking at the human capital that is employed by a company. The key here is that it is the processes that are consider along
