tasks that will need to be performed using a project planning approach. The first task is to plan the different tasks which are needed. In this there may be sub
tasks, but we will initially look at the main tasks required leading up to the event. The first task is to assess what tasks are needed. 2. Tasks
The planning of an event has many sub tasks, to simplify this process we are breaking the planning into 14 main tasks. These can be considered individually so that the
full context of each task can be appreciated. 1. The first task is to create an outline plan of the event. We have allocated a week, this is the task
of the manager, or the management team and will be a full time job for that week. The plan will require a high degree of research looking at potential routes
and disruptions that the fun run could create, other events that may clash, as international athletes are going to be invited this will include international events as well as local
events. Research at this stage will also need to look at the potential route, the potential sponsors, the papers and advertising mediums to attract runners and spectators, the assessment
of local resources and facilities that may or may not be used, looking at past events and informal talks with the local council. This has been allocated to two
