make quality decisions that drive the organization forward is what separates the best business leaders from the rest. This paper will explore the processes that business leaders use to make
managerial decisions, and question the utility of the model by comparing it to a typical personal decision in the context of ones private life. This paragraph helps the student explore
a personal decision they made in the course of their life. TO begin to understand the usefulness of robust decision making models, one might explore a decision one made in
ones own life and analyze whether the use of such a model might have made a huge difference in the eventual outcome. For the purposes of this paper, I will
discuss the decision I had to make when younger about whether or not to attend school. Such a decision may seem obvious in retrospect, but at the time I had
a difficult decision to make. My friends and I in high school were very much into business, and my best friend and I in particular had what we viewed as
a stellar business idea. It had been suggested to us that we might prefer to strike while the iron was hot and get our idea to market sooner rather than
later. However, this would have necessitated delaying attending college. So, a decision had to be made: start college right away, or delay it on the chance of making a large
