Learned behaviors begin with infancy and move through each subsequent developmental stage if they are not recognized and corrected; babies who fail to bond with their mother - or another primary caregiver in the absence of the biological mother - and do not engage within a supportive, nurturing relationship from the start acquire an unattached mentality that grows exponentially into antisocial behavior that can make him both violent and wholly detached from society. to someone who considers them to be very special and who is committed to providing for their ongoing care (Hughes, 2000, p. 1). The bonding that takes place between
parent and infant is not only a natural occurrence but also a highly critical and consequential stage in the development of that childs entire personality. That infants are products
of their immediate environment speaks to the importance of positive reinforcement and parenting skills that provide the kind of emotional guidance so crucial to the childs mental composition. If
left emotionally unattended, infants learn the opposite lessons required for living within a civilized society. Teenagers represent a percentage of parents who lack the appropriate knowledge of how to
